DSV at the heart of defence innovation: a look back at the Drone 2025 Innovation Forum in Chaumont

On 30 and 31 January 2025, DSV had the honour of taking part in the 2ᵉ edition of the Forum Innovation Drone (FID) in Chaumont, a not-to-be-missed event organised by the 61ᵉ Régiment d'Artillerie. This major event for players in the drone and defence sector enabled DSV to highlight its most innovative solutions, designed to meet current and future operational challenges.

On stand 15, the DSV team presented three systems, selected for their tactical relevance and technical robustness:

  • Fotokite and the StreamBox: a high-performance tethered drone, ideal for continuous surveillance and real-time transmission,

  • AtlasPRO: by Atlas UAS: a lightweight, compact tricopter that can be deployed in a matter of seconds,

  • EVO by DeltaQuad: a long-endurance VTOL flying wing, perfectly suited to intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions.

These systems attracted a great deal of interest from trade visitors, including members of the armed forces, government institutions and manufacturers in the sector.

Demonstrations under real-world conditions

On January 31st, DSV conducted a dynamic demonstration of its AtlasPRO and EVO DeltaQuad drones, highlighting their reliability and performance in operational environments.

The Fotokite tethered drone was presented continuously over the two days, demonstrating how easy it is to use and the quality of live video capture, even in variable weather conditions.

These demonstrations enabled us to validate, in front of end users, the relevance of these solutions in real contexts of use, for both military missions and civil security applications.

A unifying and forward-looking event

The Drone Innovation Forum, supported by the Future Combat Command (CCF), the STAT, the PRAT and other key components of the French Army, provided DSV with a unique platform for discussing the changing needs and doctrines for the use of tactical UAVs.
The many discussions on the stand confirmed the growing interest in flexible, autonomous and interoperable solutions.

As a key player in the development of innovative solutions for defence and security, DSV is fully committed to the IDF's drive to bring technological innovation closer to operational realities on the ground.
